About

Being born and raised in Portugal I may have a natural trend to see interiors as Oriental palaces.

Portugal was founded on a layer of 400 years of Islamic rule and during the Renaissance period Lisbon merchants flooded Europe with the most exotic objects from all over the unknown world.

Basically this means that I love colour, eclecticism and just can´t avoid an attraction to Chinese porcelain (one of my main sources of inspiration).

But I also love the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright and the interiors of Benjamin Baldwin, they were both influenced by Eastern concepts of man-in-nature.

All about Egyptian and Minoan art fuels my imagination.. In contrast, I love the US edition of AD magazines from the year of 1979 – another of my sources of inspiration.
